Who We Serve

StarGuard Law counsels founders, creators, artists, and influencers building the digital economy.

From AI startups and SaaS founders to musicians, podcasters, agencies, and studios, we handle the trademark, copyright, contract, and AI-compliance work that cuts across tech, music, and entertainment law.

Common Questions

Who does StarGuard Law represent?

We represent four overlapping audiences: tech and AI companies, working creators and influencers, agencies and talent firms, and professional partners who refer cross-cutting cases. The audiences share a common thread: they shape the digital economy from the inside, where legal needs cross tech and creative lines.

I'm a creator launching a SaaS company. Can you handle both the IP and the tech side?

Yes; most of our clients touch more than one audience category at once. A working creator who incorporates a SaaS company, an agency representing AI artists, a startup founder who is also a recording musician. The same attorney handles the cross-cutting work because the firm was built for that intersection.

Is there a minimum company size or revenue threshold to work with the firm?

No revenue or stage threshold. We work with pre-launch founders, solo creators, and growing teams as readily as with established companies. Pricing is structured around productized engagements with flat fees, so the engagement scope is transparent before we start.

Which jurisdictions does the firm cover?

California, Ontario, and Quebec. The firm's founding attorney is admitted to all three bars (State Bar of California, Law Society of Ontario, Barreau du Québec), which lets us handle US trademark and copyright work, Canadian federal IP work, and Quebec-specific civil law matters under one roof. For matters outside those three jurisdictions, we coordinate with co-counsel.

Does the firm handle AI compliance work alongside trademark and copyright?

Yes; the Tech, AI & Privacy practice covers AI compliance, governance frameworks, and regulatory work alongside the firm's trademark and copyright work. The firm tracks the U.S. Copyright Office's AI guidance and FTC enforcement priorities. AI compliance and IP often run together in the same engagement, especially for startups using or producing generative AI.
